VIDA: Volunteers - Intercultural - Definitive - Adventures

VIDA is a nonprofit humanitarian organization based in Costa Rica and Nicaragua that helps provide free basic medical, dental, and veterinary assistance to needy communities and improve quality of life while offering volunteers from around the world hands-on, eye-opening, mind-enriching experiences.

Why the name VIDA?

Volunteers are the driving force behind the change we make in communities. This program is about volunteers and their mission, and it is our mission to empower them.

Intercultural experiences are key to the volunteer experience. Homestays, language lessons, Latin dance classes, and other cultural immersion activities allow our volunteers gain understanding of different ideas, customs, and languages of the countries they visit.

Definitive because this experience helps volunteers define who they are and what they want to do with their lives. People spend their whole life searching for answers. At the end of the day, the best we can hope for are definitive moments. (experiences?)
