Join Dental Care International for a humanitarian dental service trip to the south Asian nation of Sri Lanka. Our mission is to see up to 35,000 children for needs assessments and dental treatment.Three trips are planned starting this summer in July2018 and will include 2-3 trips in 2019.

The project is based in Mullaittivu which is situated on a beautiful stretch of coast on the Indian Ocean at the northeast corner of the island. The people in this area of the country are primarily of Tamil descent and adhere to the principles of the Hindu faith.

DCI-Mullaittivu works in partnership with FRIDSRO, a local humanitarian organization. The mobile dental clinic will focus its efforts in the treatment of local area children. Volunteers work in the clinic for four and a half days, after which sightseeing will include a trip to Anaradhapura; an opportunity to participate as a guest lecturer at a CE event and a graduation ceremony in Colombo (Sri Lanka's capital), and the chance to interact with local people. If you have questions or would like further information, please contact Mr. Dane Jonas at dane@dcare.org. Additional information about DCI can be found on their website www.dcare.org.

Sri Lanka (aka Ceylon) is a beautiful country full of luscious green, rolling hills and tea plantations originally founded in 1867 by a British man. Many of the later plantations were developed by the Scots.
